Safety is at the heart of everything we do - driven by our leaders and applied through our operating management system. Our safety and risk management approach is built on project experience in the shipping & heavy lift transportation industry. This includes learning from operations audits, annual risk reviews, other incident investigations and industry practice of sharing experience. There are three key principles at the heart of our approach:

  • Leadership fostering a culture where everyone is focused on safety, on managing and reducing risk and on safe, reliable and compliant operations.
  • Our safety management system (SMS) being the way TPI MEGALINE seeks to operate, with clear expectations of conduct and leadership approach.
  • Independent, effective checks and balances and self-verification being carried out at all levels of the organization.

While we maintain our focus on processes, practices and protocols, we also place great emphasis on how our workforce applies them, thereby working to strengthen safety culture and workforce capability. Throughout the lifecycle of each of our sites & vessels, we use a continuous improvement approach to help manage risks about health & safety. From the operational phase onwards, this is delivered through an health & safety management system certified to OHSAS 18001:2007 standard. All of our major operating sites & vessels, with the exception of recently-acquired operations, are certified to OHSAS 18001

TPI MEGALINE is in full compliance with international security legislation for global operating ship owners.
All of the vessels in the fleet are equipped appropriately and the personnel are trained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
